The companies on this list are real estate investment trusts (REITs) focused on manufactured home, recreational vehicle and/or similar communities. These companies will develop the communities, which often contain numerous amenities, and then lease out the developed sites to individual owners. The largest companies on this list are Sun Communities (SUI), which owns over 250 communities with approximately 93,000 sites and Equity Lifestyle Properties (ELS), which owns over 380 communities with approximately 143,000 sites.
