Chemical Stocks

Many investors shy away from chemicals because of a lack of familiarity with the industry. This is understandable as there is a new set of terminology and concepts that one must learn to make a sound and reasonable investment. However, let us share an interesting fact for you to ponder. When we checked in July, 2015 74% of the Materials Select Sector SPDR Fund, a popular ETF based on the materials sector, was weighted with chemical stocks.
