Brands are powerful in almost any consumer goods industry and this collective group of companies owns some of the most well-known brands in footwear. Their brands cross all makes and types of shoes and are made for men, women and children. If you look down and see what shoes you are wearing it is very likely that you will find a brand of footwear owned by one of these companies.

Some of these publicly traded companies only operate retail stores and some operate a large number of retail stores in addition to their design, manufacturing and distribution activities. Other companies operate a relatively small amount of stores or do not operate retail stores at all. Most of these companies’ footwear lines can be found in department stores or other retail stores in addition to being sold online and/or through third-party websites. In addition to footwear, many of these companies have an extensive line of related apparel and accessories.
