List of ETFs Focusing on the Asia Pacific Region Listed on U.S. Exchanges
These ETFs focus on companies from countries located in the Asian-Pacific region but there is a lot of difference in what countries are represented for each particular ETF. Some ETFs exclude Japan and this is usually noted in the name of the ETF. Most of the ETFs have companies from Australia while some do not. There are a few of these ETFs that have Chinese companies while others exclude China altogether. South Korea is the most represented in at least one ETF while others do not include any companies from this country. While you should always do your homework before any investment, you should definitely make note of this fact to make sure the ETF composition is aligned with your investment strategy.
We also have a section on ETFs that focus on Asia. To give you a real simple difference between these two categories is that the Asian-Pacific ETFs generally are partially comprised of Australian and Asian companies while the other section only focuses on Asian companies.
