List of Buy-Write ETFs Listed on U.S. Exchanges

The ETFs and ETNs on this list employ some version of a buy-write strategy. The basics of this strategy entail:

• Long position on an index or stock(s).
• Selling calls on the underlying long positions. The selling of calls generates a credit (income) for the call-option seller.

Many of these ETFs use a major U.S. index as the basis for the long position (S&P 500, NASDAQ 100) and then sell calls against that index.
