List of Publicly Traded Airports Listed on Major U.S. Exchanges
The handful of publicly traded airports listed on major U.S. exchanges are airports located in Mexico with a regional focus. Many of these airports serve some of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico (Acapulco, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta). For those curious, the largest U.S. airports are operated by different departments within the airports city. Los Angeles International is run by Los Angeles World Airports (a city of Los Angeles department), LaGuardia is operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and O’Hare is run by the City of Chicago Department of Aviation.
Also included on this list are companies that manufacture equipment, provide services or design and manufacture airport security products. Examples of these products include x-ray equipment, metal detectors, passenger loading bridges and cargo loaders.
