List of Global Small-Cap ETFs Listed on U.S. Exchanges
The global small-cap ETFs can be broken down into two basic categories:
Developed Markets: These ETFs exclude small-cap companies from the United States and many of them are comprised of a very large number of small-sized companies. These ETFs tend to be weighted towards Japan and sometimes the United Kingdom. These ETFs are diversified with no single companies representing a notable percentage of the ETF. It should be noted that a few of these ETFs do contain a handful of emerging market small-cap companies but they represent a minor percent of the ETF when they are present.
Emerging Markets: These ETFs are comprised of small-cap companies from countries like China, Brazil, India and Taiwan. There is not as large of a selection as there is with developed markets and the number of stocks within the ETFs is somewhat smaller (although still a large selection).
